Known as the highest navigable lake(12,580ft; 3,825m), Lake Titikaka covers 3,861 sq ml (10,000 sq km) on Bolivian and Peruvian territory. Its water is clear. There are numerous islands, which are important places in the Inca history.
 
Tiwanacu ruins are situated at 73 km from La Paz. Originally, their name was “Taypicala” (central stone). Tiwanacu is the name given by the Incas to the Tiwanacu culture, which lasted from 1500 BC to 1200 AD.
 
The road from La Paz to Los Yungas offers a really great tour for a those who love biking adventure. Rich in emotions, the tour is known as “The Death Route”.
 
 
One of the most attractive tourist places in Bolivia is the Salar de Uyuni. Uyuni is a town next to the biggest salt lake in the world. It is really easy to get there. You will be in Uyuni in about ten hours by bus from La Paz.
 
Sucre is the official capital of Bolivia and its most beautiful colonial city. It has some imp- ortant historical monuments like House of Liberty, the former National Congress, old monasteries and temples.
Potosí is of the highest cities in the world. Its fame comes from centuries ago, when it supplied extraordinary quantities of silver to Spain.
 
 
   
Located in the Amazon jungle north of the city of La Paz. Normally, it is accessible by air arriving in the city of Rurrenabaque, from where you take a boat trip to visit the Madidi National Park, Chalalan Ecolodge, the Beni Biosphere Reserve.
 
4 hours from Cusco, traveling by railroad through the valley of the Vilcanota River, we find the ruins of Machu Picchu which were discovered in the year 1912. Its architecture is Inca and it gives us an idea of the greatness of that Empire.
